Zadar’s Attractions
Zadar was voted the No 1 destination in Europe for 2016 (European Best Destinations). Because Zadar isn’t as crowded as many other Croatian cities such as Dubrovnik or Split, it is a safer destination from a Covid-19 perspective and also much more affordable. This coastal town is the perfect blend of the charming old and modern new. The new town is the commercial hub that offers an array of shopping centres and designer stores. Zadar’s old town is steeped in rich cultural history, with Venetian architectural treasures and marble streets flanked by quaint shops and restaurants. It is a must to amble along the narrow ancient streets of Zadar soaking up the vibrant atmosphere created by street performers, café bars, historical sites, while eating at least one gelato (per day)! Enjoy the melodic sounds of Zadar’s renowned sea organs, which is not only an architectural feat but the first of its kind in the world.
